Gyan Architects designs carved stone architecture and ornament from Surat, Gujarat, taking each piece from concept and digital model to carving and installation.
From drawing to stone
Every piece starts with a brief, a reference and a sketch, is modelled and reviewed in 3D, and only then cut. Machine cutting and CNC roughing are followed by hand carving and detailing by skilled craftspeople.
What we design in stone
Facades, colonnades, arches, brackets, domes, wall panels, friezes and relief work, as part of the architecture rather than added to it.
Coordination with fabricators
Drawings are coordinated with contractors, fabricators and craftspeople, and the finished pieces are fitted and aligned on site, with each stage checked against the design.
